Remedial
Actions
Feasibility Studies
ASC continues the site assessment process
by studying remedial techniques and the best alternatives
to conduct a cost effective, efficient remediation for the
project.
Remedial System Design
After conducting a Feasibility Study, ASC
will then begin the design process for the specific type
and scope of the remediation..
Remedial Design Implementation
Associated Sciences has the capability of implementing
and performing these types of remedial systems;
- In Situ Chemical Oxidation
The use of oxidizing compunds to reduce contaminant concentrations
below the ground surface.
- Air Sparging / Bioventing
Air sparging entails the injection of compressed air into
wells to remove volatile contaminants from ground water
and promote aerobic biodegradation of organics in the aquifer.
Bioventing is the aeration of soil and ground water to stimulate
aerobic biodegradation of organic contaminants.
- Bioremediation
A process that uses microorganisms, fungi, plants or their
enzymes to return the environment altered by contaminants
to its original condition.
- Soil Vapor Extraction
The application of a vacuum to designed extraction points
in order to remove volatile contaminants from the subsurface
as a vapor. Extracted vapor is then treated before being
released to the atmosphere.
- Solidification / Stabilization
A process that physically encapsulates contaminants and
prevents contaminants from release or migration.
